Thanks for weighing in Joy. I'm assuming $24 is one license of MS
office. The program director's computer is currently running Linux, so
if we want to put Windows software on it, we'll need another license
of Windows 7 pro as well.
I should say that tech has a preference for supporting Linux computers
and will support Windows as needed. The finance computer is currently
the only machine running windows that has a clear business reason to,
because of Quickbooks. Regarding Open Office / MS Office - there isn't
any real difference in functionality or compatibility.
Brian Duggan is able to order for the UCIMC on Tech Soup. I'll try to
meet with Brian today to get an update and attempt to identify
possible hardware replacement candidates.
