Hi All,
Do we have an update on when this info will be changed on our website? We
need to keep our eye on the ball here.... Do we need anything at all from
the sustaining funders to complete this?
Is somebody overseeing it?
Thanks,
Joy

Hi Brian & Joy,
I just wanted to check in to see if there was anything the Sustaining Fund
committee needed to do to help the IMC rework the donation options on its
website and paypal?
The draft wording below certainly can be edited by the IMC to fit the new
design/rewriting it is working on.
Just want to be sure progress is being made on this change before our Oct. 1
mailing to the public.
Much appreciated,
Durl

DRAFT WEBSITE WORDING & DESIGN

IMC Sustaining Fund

The purpose of the Sustaining Fund is to supplement, not supplant, existing
IMC revenue streams. Contributions will be used solely to pay off the
mortgage, pay building operations not currently fully funded, and supplement
the emergency fund. The goal is to ensure the financial viability and
stability of the IMC for years to come.

To contribute to this fund just click on the one of these five buttons
below, and you’ll go to a PayPal form. Fill in the form for an automated
way of donating. Thank you.

          Level I
$250 - $499

Level II
$500 - $999

Level III
$1000 - $2499

Level IV
$2500 - $5000

Level V
$5000 or more

Hello Durl,
Thanks for sending this design and wording. Is there any reason that Brian
could not go ahead and add this to the website now or would you prefer that
he wait until closer to the mailing date?

Hi Durl,

Actually, I'm not sure what you've got here really works with what's
possible from PayPal.

Your options are buttons that allow folks to donate a set amount and
buttons that allow them to donate an arbitrary amount. There's no way
that I've found to set a range of allowable input into the donation
field. So it's either:

<button>

or

Click here to donate another amount:
<button>

which leads to a blank input field.

In the interface you've described, all five buttons would link to the
same PayPal donation page - the one with the arbitrary amount field.

I would recommend simply outlining the ranges of contribution and then
having a single button for people to click on - the one that goes to the
arbitrary field.

Does that fit what you need? If so, then I can go about creating the
page you described as soon as I get a chance.

Thanks!
Brian

Anytime is fine. Actually the sooner the better because it is just one less
thing to do as we near Oct. 1.
