[UCIMC-Tech] Email Problems Due to Change to @illinois.edu Addys

In recent days, I've dealt with several cases where people with
University email addresses are having troubles with either their
lists.chambana.org email or with Yahoo email.
This is caused by the switch from the old @uiuc.edu to the new
@illinois.edu address. Generally, your email name in front of the @
stays the same. However, the part after the @ changes. When the servers
you've used previously for email start seeing the @illinois.edu address,
they do NOT recognize it.
In general, the easiest thing to do is to subscribe to the email list
involved using your new @illinois.edu address. To avoid duplicate
messages, you'll need to set the old @uiuc.edu address to no mail.
You may want to unsubscribe your old address, but you should consult
with the mail admin first to be sure you don't lose any access the old
address may have given you. In the case of the lists that the IMC uses
on chambana, there is no editing or other functions associated with your
old email account, so there shouldn't be an issue with those accounts.
