Chris,

The lists I'm getting updates for are all, I believe, ones that are no longer actively in use by RFU. I don't know if it's possible, but if they were 'suspended' (so all incoming mail bounced, without reaching the moderators) or archived in some other way that would probably suffice. There's no actual moderation to be done, as nothing 'real' should come to the lists, and so all requests can be ignored until they time out.

Also, in many cases, when spam comes in to several of the lists, I also get an identical mail directly to my personal address (without the bounce header,  but with the same 'Hello rfu' greeting in the body). I'm not sure if that's because I'm on the same spammer list as the mailing list addresses, or if there's something in the system that's bouncing mails to me directly?
