Hi Andrew,

Those lists can definitely be archived, if that's what you and WRFU
want to do. They can either be setup to drop email without moderation,
or they can actually be shut down with the archives left intact (which
is probably better for truly obsolete lists). There's nothing in the
system that would cause an email to be sent to you directly, if the
list is configured normally. If the 'To:' address is
<list-name>-owner at lists.chambana.net, then they may just be sending to
the owner address as well. If not, it's possible that the spammer got
both addresses by scraping the lists.chambana.net description page,
which has the addresses of those responsible for the list at the
bottom, and so you just happen to be on the same spam list.
Unfortunately if that's the case, shutting down the list won't help
with that second round of spam messages since they already have your
address.

We'll need a complete list of mailinglists that are to be archived
before proceeding. Thanks!
