Subject: Re: [Newspoetry] Attn: newspoets. Newspoetry on the ucimc website?

I want to attend but I have a major deadine which will prevent me from
being there. Other Newspoets can represent me there. My main
contribution would have been the experience of running Newspoetry. There
are some suggestions I would make:

- encourage diversity by using moderation to not allow any voice to
dominate
- use the editorship to offer suggestions and assignments for possible
material that would be of interest
- encourage collaborative work between participants
- discourage the use of the forum for
   - criticism of people's work (unless specifically requested by the
artist), including positive comments about people's work (tends to
discourage others)
   - discussion of issues and ideas -- focus just on sharing work and
direct people who want to discuss to other, discussion forums
