BUMMER!

The stock market reacted today
("that highest level of what makes our nation great")
Shocked by the news
That after eight long years
("the longest running bull market in history")
The workers were finally seeing their wages go up.

This news was more than the capitalists could stand
"It's treason and impertinence"
They couldn't believe that workers would be so uppity
As to share in the wealth they had created.

Blasphemy and Hellfire!
The market fell
Down almost 181 points
"Fundamentally unfair"  was how one trader reacted.

In Atlanta, another trader
Driven to the edge by the madness of capitalism
Shot his family to death
Along with nine others
At his brokerage.

He didn't understand that this made labor that much more scarce
And valuable
He didn't understand that just made his sitiuation
As a capitalist
That much worse.

At least the dead
Won't have to worry about
Finding another crappy job
To replace the one they were about to get laid off from.
