Hey there, all my fellow WEFTies!

Know someone who is especially unique, talented, irreverent, or
different? Is there a scene you're particularly fond of and
knowledgeable about? Do you know of a topic/issue/exhibit/performance
etc. that would make for a good local radio feature story?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you might be
interested in the following opportunity:

Jason Croft, the producer of WILL AM 580's monthly 1/2-hour feature
program, "Sidetrack," is looking for WEFTie talent. He'd like to tap
into our collective expertise, weirdness, and knowledge of arts,
culture, and radio. He's looking for folks who have story ideas for
"Sidetrack" and are willing to research, record, and edit them. The
reward: your story airs on public radio. Jason accepts raw and edited
material and he's willing to take risks (he'll probably even show you
how to use WILL's digital editing equipment if your story is accepted
for "Sidetrack.").

So, if you or anyone you know might be interested, please contact Jason
directly via email at: j-croft at uiuc.edu

WEFT is it's own unique culture. Maybe someone wants to pitch a feature
on WEFT for "Sidetrack?"

Thanks!
