Okay so I hear the artic death has descended on Chambana and I gotta be a
part of it.  My time schedule is tight what with family and all, 

WHEN IS THE NEWSPOETRY RADIO SHOW???  I need to send the time to some san
Diego folks who have promised to tune in online.

here is a couple of pieces that I will read

the bumper sticker industry’s sudden 
boom drains the power grid 
and the oil man smiles 
with eyes to Alaska rolling 
blackouts douse Christmas lights. News 
uses movie metaphors, converts us 
into “whos” waiting for conversion 
of the Grinch, but capitalism 
has no heart to swell

Supreme Court passes stale gas
publicly onto consumers’ rump roasts
in an explosive session today
justice said “phhttt” and “pop.”
and commented by saying “ahhhh.”
the area around the courtroom
smelled, not suddenly, of rot
and shit.  In closing argument   [[[I know I have to change shit to
poopy-poo when I read it on the air]]]]
the majority said “I guess
we ought to name it.”
