    I am not quite sure if the following poem is quite what you are looking 
for, however, I had just wandered onto the site recently and figure I should 
give it a chance.  Any feedback is more than appreciated.

America: The Philosopher King


Sinner! Never Failing to demoralize
with the truths
you refuse to hide.

Great stakes
and great pains
we go through
to make them believe in
bronze, silver, and gold.

A society so perfect, so profound
based on a lie.

But there are always you few
who refuse to be complacent.
We choose by selection
who gets to rise and fall.

Go on to your fellow peons
we have chained their minds well.
They will never believe
that all we cast before them are shadows.

And when they throw you 
to us lions
we shall hold you up
as a prime example
of who not to be.

And then on you
we shall feast.
