depressing even festive
geezers. Holy incandescence
jingles kindness loose.
Merry Noel -- originally pagan --
quells religious strife.

This unflinching verse
wraps
Xmas's
yearning
Zeitgeist.


PROMISES BEFORE SLEEP

Okay, Magi. I vow,
by Christ, to equip,
feed, aid ... & doze.
