William has a cool idea; let newspoets fill in the "alt" tags on their
portraits.  Depending on the browser, the contents of these tags
either pop up when the mouse is over the image, get displayed in the
status bar at the bottom of the browser window, or are displayed in
lieu of the image (in Lynx, for example).  An unlikely place for
poetry, autobiography, or both, which makes it an ideal place for some
digital grafitti.

A short bio or poem is great, and you could even make one that's
specific to a particular pome.  So send all yer ideas to your friendly
neighborhood newspoetry editor, namely, yours truly.

As for all the recent allegations concerning Newspoetry management, I
have no comment at this time.
