[Newspoetry] today

Today, a lonely newspoet declared themselves overwhelmed.
Today, a newspoet delared the news lonely and whelmed, if not a bit over
someone else's hill. Today, the news tried to eat the newspoet, who
chased it off with a pizza and a xylophone and told it to leave it's
neighbor's laundry where it found it. Today, the newspoet found
themself comforting a sad and lonely news, up to it's ears in
uninteresting gossip and longing for the days when it was allowed on the
front line. Today, the news confessed to the newspoet that the
presidential election was really just a distraction. Today the news sat
in a bar with the newspoet, sobbing into it's drink and asking aloud if it
should try and get onto antidepressants, or if maybe it should just end it
all. Today, the news is depressed, saddened, ready to throw itself off of
a radiotower. Today, the only thing keeping the news from self-imposed
doom is the horror of what kind of synthetic computer-generated space-age
poltmer with direct-brain interface hook up it
might be replaced with. Today, there is so much bullshit to try and see
through
that yet again, the newspoet falls asleep on the couch trying to sort it
all out.
