Time spent Trying to hang Food Pack out of the way of large omnivors-2

Dinner-yummy

Day 2
Weather-sunny with extra wind
Portages-better
Wildlife Spotted:
Loon-1
Sawbill(Meganzer)-1
Bald eagle-1 (About 20 feet above us)
Mouse-1
ticks and other Crawlies-many
Trash Found-broken canoe seat, chocolate bars, unopened jelly, towel,
tequila bottle
Lunch-Cheese and other yummies
Pack hanging time-20 minutes
Dinner-still more yummies
Minutes to sleep-7
Final Score: Muck-1, my sandal-0

Day 3
trip-short
Wind (paddled into)-35 MPH
rain-spitting
portages-short
sandal-held together with string
Wildlife spotted (and traces):
eagle-1
Mallards-2
moose antler-1
Lunch-continuing score of Previous yum
Serene Beauty-1, Eyeballs-captivated
pack hanging time-30 minutes
Dinner-in the rain
card game-fun
minutes to sleep-10
Final Score: Wind-1, Natasha's Bandana-0

Day 4
Morning-cold
nerves-tense (see day 3, WIND)
Portages-3/4 of a mile-easy!
Wildlife Spotted-other canoers
Winds-calming
Shower-nice (didn't know I was dirty until I showered)
Natasha-delighted, Old friends at Sawbill-equally so
Lunch-still cheese
Woman we had never met before-worried because her dog took off into the
woods after a moose
bonds of friendship-renewed
Final Score: Me-3, Da Bomb Hot Sauce-0

Took a walk down to Sawbill Lake While Natasha showered.  It was still
there.
