Major Insults Futrelle
Blair Concurs, then Apologizes

London, UK (Associated Poets):

Former British Prime Minister John Major, appearing at a political
fundraising event with current Prime Minister Tony Blair, leaned over
to Blair and called Newspoetry Editor Joe Futrelle a "bush-league
wanker", apparently unaware that microphones were on and tape was
rolling.

Blair nodded and responded "jolly right you are," while still smiling
at the crowd of onlookers.  Blair quickly apologized for his comment
when asked about it several minutes later, claiming that he thought
Mr. Major had been talking about "Muselix rancor", offering no
explanation as to what, exactly, Muselix rancor might be.  Major, that
piss-fuck-cunt-asshole-motherfucking-shit-ass, had no comment.  But he
is ugly.

Newspoetry spokesperson Darvis Fintrell also had no comment except
that the statements of Mr. Major and Mr. Blair speak for themselves.
