newspoetry:  i know you guys already posted one about this event, but 
thought you'd enjoy anyhow.


the liberty bell lives!

i want to take a sledgehammer to the liberty bell!

god lives!

i want to free the spirit inside the bell with god!

i want to be one with the american emblem of liberty!

i want to make four little welts!
everyone deserves four little welts in the liberty bell!

god lives!

the newspaper prints a diagram representing the "assault on the bell."
first, the arrival.  then, the hammer blows.  and finally, the aftermath

in which people gather around and stare at the bell
while a restoration expert touches it up.

god lives!

i want to fuck the liberty bell in its crack!

i want to be one with the liberty bell!

i want to be the liberty bell!

ralph archbold, a well-known benjamin franklin portrayer, says
"that bell has meant so much to so many people who could just
reach out and touch it."

like at&t?
phones ring too.

god lives!
