Kudos to 6.8!

6.8 managed to not kill anybody when it dropped in
unexpectedly on the Pacific Northwest this last month, that same day that
GWB announced "disaster prevention isn't working." In response, 6.8
caused some damage, and ushered in the era of the newer, friendlier
tax-cut approved earthquake. This new version of an ancient natural
disaster will most likely be voted the new congressional mascot, and will
get a cushy government job redefining natural disaster for a new economy,
because obviously, disaster prevention isn't working. This new mascot of
fiscal responsibility will redefine who is at fault when people get
crushed under buildings, swept away by floods, or dismembered by flying
tornado debris. If someone dies in a natural disaster they will be said
to have adhered to the new policies of "Pre-emptive Social Security
Cut-Off" and "Elimination of Fiscal Liability." Savings in the billions
are doubtless, because disaster prevention obviously isn't working in two
major metropolitan areas with a combined population of 3,713,766, plus all
those folks living in neither Seattle nor Portland, but somewhere in
between. 6.8 gave a showing of compassionate conservatism, proving beyond
all doubt that it is willing to join in this new era of bipartisanship,
and work with the selected administration to the best of it's
earth-shattering abilities. So remember, the next time a wall collapses
on you because of an earthquake or a tornado, you can be grateful that 6.8
is in charge. Because disaster prevention obviously isn't working.
