Who's Ari Now?

You balked when I questioned
And dodged it somehow
I knew there was something amiss
The news cycle's turning
and you're asking now
While I just can't comment on this

Who's Ari now?
Who's Ari now?
Whose heart is yearning but down like the Dow?
Who needs to know?
Who yearns for Joe[1]?
Time for the old quid pro quo

Right to the press
You won't confess
And every fact disavow
You had your way
Now you must pay
You're sad that I'm Ari now

As if I'd forgive you
Or try to forget
How you shattered all my ideals
You hedged when I asked you
Which now you regret
And now you know just how it feels
