In these times language
is heated to the point where
it can no longer transmit our combined load
to the ground;

layer upon layer collapse on
each other.  Airplanes become missiles;
compassion, domination;
ignorance, strength.

Now I know why people jumped:
because it made no difference.

U.S. opinions are no longer possible
or permitted.  The pretense that
we ought to understand better
has been deleted from that section
of the newspaper.

The headline reads
"Protecting Children"

but it's just about U.S. children,
isn't it?

I don't care about your stupid opinion,
and I won't
until the bombing of Earth's children
stops forever
