Standing on the SideLines
Watching all the Years go by
<Original:
SideLines := Corner;
Years       := Girls;
Apologia   := Ora pro nobis...>

Fight for the Left,
Fight for the Right --
Stand Up, Sit Down
Fight, fight our fight!

Why stand ye idle?
What's to understand?
There's goodness here
In this Great Land.

And where there's good
There is evil, too.
So, join the fight
For partly true.

And partly false
Will disappear
What's to understand?
Winning is dear.

Winning is all
It could e'er be.
Nothing is more --
Losing, you see.

Peace is furtive,
Hides from our eyes,
Needs no heroes,
To repose lies.

Apology
Pro vita vous
(Sua said he)
"Yes" begets you.

And "No" does, too.
You must be trapped,
Caught in a void,
Fight back, enscrapped!

Your two parents,
Miss Yes and No,
Teach alternates
So you will know.

There must be no
Hollow riddles.
Vanish also
Empty middles!

Just about here
Yawns a reader
Sucking in Air,
Blowing Leader.

Rally the troops
Wake up, ye dead,
Fight, fight our fight
So you'll be led.

Thanks for listening
Donald L Emerick
