Charles Schwarz, Thomas Wiese and Thomas Bruder
were tried by a fair and impartial jury.

Reasonable doubt
was established.

Convictions
were abandoned.

Abner Louima was never tried.
Rather he was brutalized by one or more NYPD officers
in a way too horrible to think about,

My god, no,
our system of justice
cannot tolerate being linked
to individual criminal acts
and so be understood to be
collectively responsible for how it treats
suspects, detainees, and inmates.

The fair and impartial jury went home
wearing their commemorative 911 NYPD caps.

We're not sure where Michael Bloomberg is this weekend,
but his cops are roaming the streets
