Good afternoon newspoets,

After much persuasion on the part of my representative in the US, I've set up my own email account.  The 'internet cafe' has never really taken off here in Madrid, but one of my local bistros now has an old pc in the back room.  It doesn't handle multimedia very well, but it's ok for text and small image files.  So, from now on I'll be sending my despatches straight to you, without the extra step of sending things by 'snailmail' to the States.  I'll also be avoiding Porter's capricious and unsolicited editing of my work (he's such a stick-in-the-mud).

My host Javier is babbling something at me about tying up his phone line, so I'll stop here.  More newspoems to come as the muse permits.
