Water Ice
(a power ballad for Mars)
It seems like yesterday
That the gobs were flowin'
As the years just fade away
Our love's not growin'
In the geologic past
This love we feel can't last
And now it's showin' ...
CHORUS:
Because there's ice
Just ice
From the south pole up to -60 degrees
Babe, it's ice,
Water ice and I'm beggin' you please
Open up your fissures
And all the heat inside
Will come out again
What was once a lava flow
Is just a cold reminder
And those dust storms when they blow
Just make us blinder
When the sky it was so red
And there were raindrops on our head
And love was kinder ...
But now there's ice ... etc.
BRIDGE:
And now the signal's loud and clear
That the love we once held dear
Is frozen forever ...
