Don't you know/in this new dark age/that we're all light

even if America is the
thug in the global playpen
inside its situation
people say hello and
leave guns home despite
the context and celebrity

that ember of decency is My
America if all the kindness is
smashed into its tiniest particles
we must not decay

so today I'm going to go to work
and try real hard to be nice to those fuckers
