[Newspoetry] Raging waters

Raging waters are rolling o'er us,

Raging waters are rising high,

The storms, they keep abreakin',

And the waters rage right on by.

 

When the days are wet and weary,

And the floods seem all too deep,

There's no place that's dry enough

Where I may set me down and weep.

 

Raging waters are pouring past,

Cold dark waters make me shiver;

Towing it under the roiling waves,

They're sweeping a town down river.
