Bush polling numbers disappointing.

Yes, there are still far too many people who approve of him.

Another news item:
McCain will be off to speak to the Discovery Institute, catering to the vast
bulk of the anti-science crowd that makes up that ignorant 30-something percent
of people who still approve of Bush.

Superstitious people need to find some new superstitions because the old ones
simply are not plausible -- or not vesting in a healthy world view.  They need
to think back on what God said, in the Beginning, of His creation: "It is good"
and of His supreme accomplishment, Man: "It is very good."  But, no, they'd
rather degrade and destroy the Creation and Man, as well.

So, my fellow news-poets, let us hear some new and better superstitions that the
ignorant and obstinate might just possibly accept, as new and improved
substitutes for the garbage that they currently believe.
