Our audience isn't a self-selected crowd of peaceniks or social justice
activists. We are trying to recruit new people among "everyday people,"
that's why we are in the streets. Being there is difficult and rewarding
work. If one of us is hurt by angry words than I hope another one of us
will come to that person's comfort.

Congratulations on three continuous weeks of having a strong and positive
presence.

Sorry I missed this meeting. Happens, I guess. But I'm wondering - are
people seriously feeling we need "protection" from things people are saying
to us on N Prospect? I don't know about anybody else, but I thought part of
what was great about being out there is that we find out what people really
think of what we are doing -- mostly incredibly positive. The realtively
few angry shouts I've heard (mostly unintelligible) shouldn't reeally scare
anybody, in my opinion - especially compared to a guy driving upon the
sidewalk.

Seems to me.
