[Peace-discuss] the plot sickens

Remember yesterday's story about the dead animals near the No War sign? Well, my kids came home from school this afternoon and said that at the house around the corner -- the only other house in the immediate neighborhood with a sign -- there was a dead squirrel on the sidewalk near the sign. I knocked on the door, happy to finally have a chance to meet this like-minded neighbor. He didn't know about our situation and said this was the 4th dead squirrel he had found next to the sign in a week and a half! He thought it was getting odd but still just a coincidence until I told him about what happened to us. He has called the police (they made a report and said they'd do some extra patrolling) and I called channel 3 news. Trisha Shephard, the newsperson who interviewed me yesterday, was very glad I called. They're busy with the election but will get a camera out tonight or tomorrow.

This neighborhood is southeast Urbana, between Florida and Race. I live on S. Grange St, the new incident is on McHenry. Has anyone else in this area been experiencing such things and maybe now begins to see a pattern?
