[From Sam Smith's Progressive Review <www.prorev.com>. --CGE]

After spending tens of billions of dollars, stretching its military
readiness to the limits, two wars and a lengthy embargo that left a
million dead, the United States has captured the former dictator of a
country with a population roughly that of Texas, a size twice that of
Idaho, military expenditures 0.36% those of the US, and a GDP roughly the
size of the annual revenues of Sony and one-third those of Wal-Mart. The
Washington Post devoted 16 pages to the incident.
