[Peace-discuss] Email Overload?

Hi,

I like what I receive on AWARE.

I like Ken Urban's idea of having two separate email lists, if we feel we
need a change -- one list for posting or forwarding of articles and the
other for our discussions, ideas, announcements, etc. We have that kind of
system here (as you know, I've moved) -- one list for posting articles and
the other for discussion-- and it is working very, very well. Often, when
people post articles we post them with a short personal introduction of why
they feel the article is important, which helps personalize it as well,
athough it isn't completely necessary to do that.

Honestly, I don't want to give up the things that you folks have been
selecting to put on our AWARE list. . I've gotten a lot on AWARE that I
myself wouldn't get elsewhere, as I don't have time to sift through
commondreams, moveon, etc. and I'm not on a zillion lists. What gets
selected in AWARE seems to be especially relevant, and the volume is worth
it to me, in order to get the info that I need.

With two lists we can "have it all" and it isn't extra trouble to do it
that way.

Thanks,
Barbara

P.S. If we change over, I trust that Carl's news summaries will still
remain on the "main" list, as they are compiled with us in mind.
