I think speaking from the AWARE side of things, we aren't going to be
doing this kind of activity.  Speaking from my past experiences up
there, you would be o.k. bringing your family.  We have a security team
now, and they should be very vocal if anybody starts breaking the law.

That said, I also feel compelled to warn you that we don't own the
streets up there.  Anybody can show up.  In the past, it seems like most
of the students who were involved yesterday do not come to aware events,
but this may change tomorrow, who knows.  So, while we have security, we
cannot stop people from doing what they are going to do.  This would be
against the law as well.

So, experience says that it won't be a problem, but it's not
impossible.  I think it all hinges on what you want your children to
see, and not so much their physical safety, as I firmly believe that
they will be safe regardless of what happens.
