[Peace-discuss] another (private) action idea

Just a side point to this. As I've been walking around, I've seem a lot
of NO IRAQ WAR signs in yards, and I find it comforting to know that
someone who lives in that house feels similar to the way I do. I
suppose the PRO-WAR people feel the same way about flags. I wonder if
we can hang the constitiution somehow and use that as a symbol. I think
about this, because, I elected, the city council begins each session
with the Pledge of Allegiance and I saw recently a version "I pledge
allegience to the Constitution of the United States ..."

For those of us with front yards with trees:

I thought about buying pink ribbons (to symbolize Iraqi civilian deaths)
and
rwb ribbons (to symbolize American soldier's deaths) and tying the
appropriate number (continually updating) onto the tree in my front
yard.

I would really love to see protest statements (beyond the NO IRAQ WAR)
signs, spread throughout our community into our front yards.
