THE CONNECTIONS BETWEEN WAR AND RACISM

Professors Sundiata Cha-Jua and David Roediger will lead a discussion on the connections between war and racism with a particular focus on the current anti-war movement.


--Professor Cha-Jua directs the Afro-American Studies and Research Program and teaches history at UIUC. He is author of  America's First Black Town (U of I Press). 
--Professor Roediger teaches Afro-American studies and history at UIUC. He is director of the Center on Democracy in a Multiracial Society. His most recent books include Colored White:Transcending the Racist Past (California) and, as editor, W.E.B. DuBois' John Brown (Random House).
