FYI:

Quotation from the Denver Post, Feb. 4, 2004:

"…according to Mark Silverstein, legal director of the Colorado
American Civil Liberties Union.

Not only is being shocked with a Taser unpleasant, but it also can be
deadly, Silverstein said. He notes that Taser International, which
makes and markets the devices to law enforcement, calls them
"less-lethal" weapons. Although statistics are hard to come by, the
ACLU has uncovered several fatalities involving people who died shortly
after being shot by police with a Taser. There were at least four
deaths in 2001, seven in 2002, and 11 in 2003.

International human-rights groups oppose the use of Tasers, he said."

Clearly, the number of related fatalities will rise as the use of these
weapons rises.
