Here is an update from the Tel Rumeida project, received at our
aware at anti-war.net address.

The Tel Rumeida project is a unique, new, ambitious Palestinian advocacy
program in the Tel Rumeida neighborhood of Hebron, occupied West Bank. Tel
Rumeida is described as particularly victimized by extremist Israeli settler
violence. The daily log and photographic documentation being compiled on
their website (www.telrumeidaproject.org) is remarkable.

: Please be advised that the Tel Rumeida Project's website will be updated

check the "Life in Tel Rumeida" and "Photo" sections.
: In the less than three weeks that we've been in Tel Rumeida, the settlers
have participated in multiple stonings and set fire to two Palestinian
gardens.  The army has occupied a home and set up an incredibly intrusive
new checkpoint at the entrance to the neighborhood.
: On almost every occassion of settler attack, the police and soldiers have
refused to stop the settlers from attacking.  They have refused to protect
the Palestinians residents of Tel Rumeida.
: We have taken many videos of these events, which will be available within
the next two weeks.  Reports and photos will be updated on a weekly basis,
at least.
: More lengthy article, maps, and analysis will be put on the website soon.
