One correction:

Patrick has not been granted a third trial. He still stands convicted on his 2nd
trial with neither physical evidence or eyewitnesses. This court date is to hear
the judge's ruling on post-trial motions which may result in a new trial, but
could also result in his sentencing and immediate incarceration.
