Hello, all. A friend and I have recently founded an anti-war /
humanitarian rights group at our high school (Centennial) called
Peaceful People. For our second meeting, we are looking for a casual
speaker, perhaps from AWARE or otherwise, to... well, speak.

As for the content of the speech, we are very open to suggestions -
perhaps concerning his/her trial and errors with peace activism,
his/her reasons for being against the Iraq war and/or an invasion into
Iran, other topics that he/she may specialize in, but just something
with roots in anti-war sentiment. Please don't let my vagueness in
the speech topics discourage you from volunteering to speak - please
present any refined ideas for topics in this discussion! This speech
would be very casual (no pressure!), as it is simply for the duration
of a meeting, where only the members of Peaceful People would be
present (about 15 - 20 people).

Our Peaceful People meetings are Thursday mornings around 7:45 until
about 8:10am, and we'd like to get the speaker for THIS Thursday,
April 12th (apologies for the late notice!). If Thursday is too
soon, this Friday is also an option, or we can schedule for next week.

I hope you all consider extending your peace activism to interested
youth in the Champaign-Urbana community.

Peace!,
Jenny Goodwine
