Now here is a real "whoops!".   Just image a multi-million dollar budgeted
organization operating for 2 years on a polar opposite assessment without
noticing anything that might indicate that the situation was other than what
they posited - especially when they now are saying that what they claimed
was happening up until this new assessment ended 4 years ago.  Were they
asleep, on drugs, unconscious, or just dumb or incompetent?

Mark Mazzetti reports for The New York Times: "A new assessment by American
intelligence agencies concludes that Iran halted its nuclear weapons program
in 2003 and that the program remains on hold, contradicting an assessment
two years ago that Tehran was working inexorably toward building a bomb."
