The presence of Blackwater mercs throughout Iraq loyal only to Erik Prince and the Veep's Office and their
imbedding with U.S. military units whose members receive far less pay means that the mutiny that toppled
Westmoreland and the U.S. Army in Vietnam will not happen here. Blackwater USA is thus totally
unaccountable and can direct operations in Iraq without the scrutiny of even the compromised mainstream
media. Furthermore, they are now a barely visible presence in many urban centers. Their role in shooting
Katrina victims and "policing" the New Orleans/Gulf Coast disaster area is a prelude to their likely role in
the coming period of U.S. martial law (for which Bush's NSPD 51 Emergency Powers Act and the Military
Commissions Act that got rid of habeus corpus have nicely set the stage). Fascism is fast approaching,
and only creative solutions and a rapid public awakening will avert the political disaster already at our
doorstep....
