[Peace-discuss] message to AWARE address

This would NOT be acceptable to me. Sponsoring or co-sponsoring events (or DN! and other things on UPTV) is one thing, and I'm glad AWARE does this. Ditto fund-reaisers thru auctioning original/local music and art. Producing/selling donated original art post cards at our table is fine, too -- it's not even a cottage industry! It's clearly non-profit, and it's entirely under our control so that it stays that way! But if AWARE agreed to promote this guy's/any guy's book -- regardless of what's betw the covers -- and made $3 for ea copy sold to our contacts, it'd be another thing entirely. We'd be participating in something for profit that we'd have no control over. It'd look like a conflict of interest at best, and self-interest at worst.

on the website for contacts. I'm forwarding so folks
can decide what to do with it.

I know next to nothing about it, apart from the fact
that it is a real book, for sale at Amazon.com, and
the author was in fact drafted but decided to become a
draft evader.
