Absolutely -- I think that's just the right note.  Good for them! 

What can we do about this?  The US Bridge Federation needs to get a
ton of mail taking them to task about this nonsense.
Like the letter from Kleinman:

    Not so, said Danny Kleinman, a professional bridge player,
    teacher and columnist. "If the U.S.B.F. wants to impose
    conditions of membership that involve curtailment of
    free speech, then it cannot claim to represent
    our country in international competition,"
    he said by e-mail.

If the USBF thinks that the good name of the US is at stake,
they're right.  But because of their repressive response,
not the winning bridgeplayers' sign.

The proposed settlement's requirement that the players
rat on each other is especially shameful.
