I think it may have been a reference to Susan Jacoby's rather awful-looking 
book, "The Age of American Unreason."

In regard to Friedman, did you note Doug Henwood's I thought rather perceptive 
comments about Friedman in his review of Naomi Klein's book, which I posted the 
other day?
