Nice article(s), Bob!
I hadn't seen the "tiny" ad before, but the link was pretty entertaining - you know, in a teeth-grinding, nauseating kind of way. I assume most people had seen it, tho - including most folks who would drive by One Main St, say, on a Saturday, in case they were handed a reprint of such an article by stubborn peaceniks or, perhaps, even by the author himself ... :-)
One questio, tho, about this one sort of lemma (If I can use such a shocking term) in the otherwise excellent argument: "...When the United States leaves Iraq, Iraq will not be a U.S. client state [...or an Iranian client state...], for the simple reason that this would not be in the interests of the majority of Iraqis ..." You mean to say in the long run, yes? Surely "the interests of the majority of Iraqis" or of any other people aren't a strong determinant of their government's behavior in the short run?
Sorry if I'm splitting anything that begins with 'h'.

Response to the "Tiny" ad: Iran may be a threat to the neocon project,
but it is not a significant threat to the interests of the majority of
Americans.
