[Peace-discuss] Faith and fanaticism

I am still working on my response to Carl's initial response to my posting;
but in the meantime, I am going to respond to your post on the topic with
respect to one issue.

>I expect Obama will do what he's said, but I'm not yet absolutely
>certain. He could change (in greater or lesser ways.), or events
>could change his intended actions.

Unfortunately, this is all a matter of interpretation. I am sure that
whatever he says or does he will see or regard it as doing or saying what he
always said or intended to do. The notion of events changing his intended
actions is also a very vague and ambiguous explanation or justification for
almost any action or change in action. It also revolves around one's
interpretation of a tipping point event. Whose interpretation do we accept
- Obama's, our own, or someone else's?

He just hasn't done it yet. You must know that, so don't distort the
issue---it's not honest.

I expect Obama will do what he's said, but I'm not yet absolutely
certain. He could change (in greater or lesser ways.), or events
could change his intended actions.

No illusions about Obama (before the election--I voted for McKinney),
even worse prognostications over all with McCain/Palin.
