Didn't Bush say -- right before or after those shoes were thrown at him -- how proud he is of the new (thanks to the US!) democracy in Iraq?? Solitary confinement, no contact w/ a lawyer...Well so much for democracy, huh? Oh wait, that IS the US's idea of democracy in the Middle East... or twds Middle Easterners (and ethnic others) held by the US in various prisons around the world (and w/in the US).
