Not a lot of MoveOn or AAEI folks, though, were there?
I think in fact it was a splendid success. We should try to continue to build
coalitions of people really opposed to the wars -- which would not of course
include mainline Democrats or Republicans. But the people you mention, as well
as pacifists, radicals and paleo-conservatives, should be encouraged to draw the
line against the Clinton-Obama-McCain-Romney-etc. people -- those who are in
favor of continuing the war policy. It seems to me that one of AWARE's tasks in
the near term should be to make that distinction clear. --CGE
