HABARI CONNECTION PROGRAM

TEAMS UP WITH UNIT 4 HOPE ACADEMY

Urbana-Champaign Independent Media Center's Habari Connection Program has
partnered with the Unit 4 Schools Hope Academy at the Columbia Center.

The Columbia School is centrally located at Neil and Bradley in Champaign.

Unit 4 administration is taking the necessary steps to address the crisis of
high school dropouts. Hope Academy is offering a real alternative to
students 16 and up, that are not succeeding in the traditional school
setting.

Habari Connection is excited to announce this partnership in an effort to
address the crisis of high school dropouts. We have to motivate our
students in unique ways. This is what Habari Connection's Work, Earn &
Learn Program and Club Freestyle Program hope to bring to the students
opportunities to learn pre-vocational skills. Through career-exploration
and hands-on training students will gain experience in an area of their
interest.

Local business, agencies, and donors can show their support in many ways.
For more information please contact Tanya Parker at 217-722-9427, or email
at contactus at habariconnection.com.

To donate to Habari Connection send to: 202 S. Broadway Ave., Urbana, IL
61801; Make Checks payable to UC-IMC Habari Connection.
