No the ideal candidate would be the one who is not running for office and
will not accept it if elected. :-) Anyone who runs for public office does
not deserve to get it. Sometimes I think it would be better to elect to
public office and hire for non-elective positions people who are mentally
challenged.  They could not possibly do a worse job and probably would do a
better job than those of sound mind; they would work harder and give it
their all; and they would not cost as much.  If they did happen to do bad
things, we at least know that they did not do them with total and complete
deliberation and planning.
