[Peace-discuss] Academy on Capitalism and Limited Government Fund

I am not sure if this is new or old news; but some might find it
interesting.  I have to wonder if this means that the foundation that
supports this will be an independent quasi-university entity like The
University of Illinois Foundation, the Alumni Association, or The Athletic
Association which is beyond control of the University's academic
administrator's and faculty's control but which still uses University
facilities and trades on the University's name and prestige or if it means
that the Academy on Capitalism and Limited Government Fund, the foundation
that supports it, and the Institute or Center that it creates will be
totally independent and unaffiliated with the U of I, its facilities, and
resources similar to the companies that rent facilities in the University's
Research Park.  The latter is also not without problems and raises some
questions as to the privatization of public education and research at the
public's expense in terms of control, say over policies, decisions, and
actions, the indirect and/or direct  contractual use of public facilities
and resources for private or political gain, and the issues of transparency
in the relations between the private entities and the University.
