Cornel West's talk was great!
Some really really good comments.
And it ended on a great answer to a question about Obama and Lincoln:
(paraphrasing) Lincoln was not great at the beginning of his term --
just look at his 1st inaugural speech. Frederick Douglas bought a
ticket to Haiti after hearing that speech. Just look at what Lincoln
did to continue slavery for 2 and 1/2 years the ... but then we must
look at Lincoln in context, and the great people who put pressure on
Lincoln, and what he eventually was able to do, passing and signing
13th amendment.
